Home Health Services at Caridad de San Antonio
MVCHS provides in-home nursing and ancillary services to an average of 25 clients. Services are provided by a Registered Nurse carrying out physician orders.
Ancillary services, such as physical therapy, are provided by a licensed and certified agency.
The program is not age-based, but rather is based on medical necessity. For example, we can include infant care for a short period of time under the Home Health program.
The client must be under a doctor’s orders and need skilled nursing care and sometimes physical therapy. The person must be home bound and the required care must be intermittent with a definite end in sight. If the services of a physician are required, we can provide them as well.
Nursing services include assessment/observation; management and evaluation of home situation stability; teaching about disease processes and treatment and medical social services.
