Ambulance Services

Since 1975, MVCHS has provided ambulance services through an agreement with Mora County government. Mora County receives EMS funds from the state for fuel and maintenance of the ambulance units and equipment and owns the two vehicles. MVCHS manages the overall operation of the ambulances and pays all personnel costs and for all insurances required for the service.

The service is staffed by MVCHS on-call personnel - 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Teams rotate on-call status weekly. Teams consist of one EMT, one driver and one first responder. Total personnel include three Emergency Medical Technicians (one of whom is the program director), two drivers and two first responders.
